Privacy Policy

This notice explains which personal data the ab-creations.it website collects, why we use it, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights. It is provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

2.1 The configurator form

When you request a site survey from the configurator we collect your name, email, phone number and floor area (required), town and project details (optional), the configuration you chose (surface, room, material and shade), the page address, the date and time of sending and your confirmation that you have read this notice.

2.2 The contact form

When you ask for a meeting from the contact page we collect your name, phone number and the location of the job (required), practice or company, role, email and project description (optional), the page language and address, and the date and time of sending.

Please do not write health data or other special categories of information in the free text fields: they are not needed for a site survey.

2.3 Email, phone and WhatsApp

If you write to us or call us, we use the data you send in order to reply. WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, part of the Meta group, which processes its users’ data under its own privacy policy.

2.4 Browsing data

Like any website, the server that hosts it records some technical data about visits: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. This is needed to run and secure the site. We do not use it to find out who you are.

2.5 Meta Pixel, only with your consent

If you accept marketing cookies, the Meta Pixel records the pages you visit, the completion of the configurator and the sending of the forms, together with the identifiers Meta links to your browser. Without consent the pixel is not even loaded. Details are in the cookie policy.

The site uses no visitor analytics tool. We do no profiling, apart from what Meta does with the pixel if you accept it, and we take no automated decisions about you.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your request, arranging the site survey or meeting and preparing a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without the required fields we cannot get back to you.
  • Managing the job, if your request becomes one, and meeting tax and accounting obligations. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Running and protecting the site, remembering your language and your cookie choice. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The language cookie and the stored choice are technical tools that need no consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003).
  • Measuring our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram and showing you relevant ads, with the Meta Pixel. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who receives the data

  • Make, the automation platform of the Celonis group that receives the data from both forms and forwards it to us. It acts on our behalf as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR).
  • Hostinger, which hosts the site and keeps its technical logs, also as a processor.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, only if you accept marketing cookies. For collecting data with the pixel and transmitting it to Meta, we are joint controllers with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR). What Meta does with the data afterwards falls under its own responsibility and privacy policy.
  • If your request becomes a job, the data needed for invoicing goes to whoever assists us with our tax obligations.

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to anyone for commercial purposes.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Data collected by the Meta Pixel may be transferred to the United States, to Meta Platforms, Inc. Meta participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission found adequate in its decision of 10 July 2023.

Form data reaches Make on a European server. If a provider were to process data outside the European Union, it does so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, that is an adequacy decision or the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not become a job: 24 months from the last contact, then deleted.
  • Clients: for the whole job and then for 10 years, the period Italian law requires for accounting records (Art. 2220 of the Civil Code).
  • Copies of the forms in Make: no longer than 30 days.
  • Server technical logs: no longer than 90 days, unless needed to investigate misuse.
  • Language cookie: 12 months. Cookie choice: stays in your browser until you change it or clear the site data.
  • Meta Pixel: see the cookie policy.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use and receive it in a machine-readable format to take it elsewhere (Articles 15 to 20 GDPR). You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21). You can withdraw your consent to the Meta Pixel at any time, through the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of the page: the withdrawal applies from that moment on.

To exercise them, write to info@ab-creations.it or by post to the address in section 1. We reply within one month, free of charge. If the request is complex the deadline can be extended by two further months, and we will tell you if so. We may ask you to confirm who you are, so as not to hand your data to someone else.

8. Complaints

If you think we are handling your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, www.garanteprivacy.it, or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.

9. Changes

We update this page whenever the way the site handles data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last modified.
